Rdr reported intention was to lead & after beginning best he was able to achieve this position, however when another runner quickly improved to his inside near the 1100m, his mnt which had blinkers applied for the first time, commenced to race keenly. Added although he was content racing outside the leader, he attributed his mnt’s disappointing performance to its racing manners throughout the event. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Tnr rep subsequently reported satisfaction with post-race condition of the gelding but advised it has now been spelled. 2 SMOOTH FLIGHT 26/05/2022Gosford Shifted in abruptly on jumping. Raced keenly in lead in early & middle stages. 3 DISHIN ’N’ DANCIN 14/05/2022Newcastle Raced wide & without cover throughout the event. 5 PACHECO 28/05/2022Newcastle Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight and passing the 200m laid in across heels before being corrected by its rdr. 8 OVOID 19/05/2022Hawkesbury Approaching the 200m was shifted to the outside of another rnr to continue into clear running. 9 BUFF IN DISGUISE 17/02/2022Goulburn Inquiry opened into tactics. When qst, rdr std instructed to ride conservatively & make one run down outside h/straight. Std after being crowded at start mnt settled at rear where it relaxed & travelled well. When qst re riding at 1000m, rdr std bearing in mind instructions he was reluctant to make use of mnt that far out but conceded he should have commenced to improve. Added his effort to improve was not until the h/turn where he placed mnt under full pressure whereby it ran on strongly. Tnr rep confirmed instructions. Stwds told rdr had erred & referred to riding skills panel. Race 2 - 12:50PM GRAINSHAKER VODKA HANDICAP (1200 METRES 2 BEIRUT MISS 1/06/2022 Warwick FarmNear the 900m was steadied when crowded. Rounding the home turn made contact with another runner. Near the 200m had to be steadied when tightened for room. 3 GLACIER QUEEN 1/06/2022 Warwick Farm Lost its off-fore plate enroute to the barriers. The filly was replated, examined by the Club’s veterinarian and passed suitable to start. Near the 900m, when another runner shifted in when not fully clear, commenced to race keenly and shifted out from behind the heels of that runner. Continued to overrace throughout the middle stages. On the home turn, laid in & bumped another rnr. When qst re improved performance, tnr std at gelding’s last start it settled back in field & found it difficult to make up ground on a very heavy track with its big weight, whereas he attributed the improved performance to being able to race closer to the pace, but more so dropping down significantly in weight & with a rdr who has a good association with it. Added whilst he anticipated the gelding would race competitively, it’s performance had exceeded his expectations. 5 ARABOLINI (GER) 28/05/2022Royal Randwick Rdr std the gelding was able to dictate in the lead but was pressured when a number of rnrs improved quickly to her outside approaching the home turn at which point it came under pressure & finished race off in a one-paced manner. He added, after beginning well and when no rnr positioned to his inside showed intent on leading, he allowed his mnt to stride forward and assume the lead near the 1100m without having to apply any undue pressure. 10 THE GIFT 28/05/2022Newcastle Bounded on jumping. Commenced to race keenly in the early stages and near the 1300m had to be steadied and shifted outwards when awkwardly placed on heels. The Club has developed comprehensive procedures to deal with any unexpected emergency situation that may arise. Our staff are trained and experienced in dealing with emergencies and evacuations. They are dressed in ATC uniforms at various points throughout the racecourse. Assisting in an emergency will also be security staff and Police officers. 18 POLICY The Australian Turf Club is committed to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) across all our venues and endeavours to comply at all times with all the requirements of the NSW Liquor Act 2007. The Club is an active member of a number of Local Liquor Accords including the Eastern Beaches Liquor Accord and also the Rosehill and Liverpool Liquor Accords. The Australian Turf Club has adopted the following House Policy, which provides a framework for the Responsible Service of Alcohol. ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION Patrons who are intoxicated or approaching intoxication will be refused admission to our venues. Patrons who are observed drinking upon approach to one of our venues will be refused entry. Appropriate and compliant signage will be displayed at all entry points. Patrons on board “Party Buses’, Limousines or Hire Cars with alcohol present will have their intoxication levels assessed by Security and risk refusal of entry to the venue. Any patron refused service by bar staff or identified by Security as approaching intoxication will be asked to leave the venue immediately as per Section 77 of the NSW Liquor Act 2007 UNDER AGE DRINKING The Australian Turf Club recognises the following fonns of identification: • A driver’s or rider’s licence or permit (issued by an Australian State or Territory or any foreign country) • Australian passport or a foreign passport issued by another country, • NSW photo card (issued by Roads and Maritime Services NSW) • Proof of age card issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth or of another State or Territory for the purpose of attesting to a person’s identity and age • Keypass (over-18) identity card issued by Australia Post. Patrons who appear to be aged 25 years or under may be asked for identification at any time by Security, Police or an ATC staff member. If identification is unable to, or refused to be produced that patron will be asked to leave the venue. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR Any patron found to be disrupting the quiet enjoyment of other patrons around them by means of their actions or behaviour will be asked to leave the venue. TRAINING AND PROMOTIONS All staff have been informed about their obligations in relation to this policy on Responsible Service of Alcohol and have been adequately trained to support this policy. 20 Children are welcome at all race meetings held at Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm. On many weekend race meetings there is free children’s entertainment available. Children in the general admission area should be under the company of a responsible adult at all times. Children entering the Members’ Enclosure must be in the company of a responsible adult at all times and must be suitably attired. There are no restricted areas within the racecourse (except for ‘Members’ Only Areas’) however patrons under the age of 18 years of age (minors) are not permitted entry to the racecourse unless accompanied by their Legal Guardian or Loco Parentis. (Responsible adult). This can be in the form of: • A parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor • A person who is, for time being, in loco parentis to the minor. This person must be 25 years of age or older and be able to verify to the satisfaction of the ATC their relationship to the minor Definition of In Loco Parentis. The term “Loco Parentis” describes a relationship similar to that of a parent to a child; specifically it refers to an individual who assumes parental status and responsibilities for another individual, usually a young person, without formally adopting that person. Any minor found in close proximity to or using alcohol or gaming outlets will be asked to leave the venue. The person identified as being responsible for the minor (as per the NSW Liquor Act 2007 in relation to Responsible Adults) will also be asked to leave the venue. Prosecution by the NSW Police is also an option. LIQUoR LICENsING REGULATIoNs sMILE - yoU’RE oN CCTV Members and their guests must observe the Liquor Licensing Regulations in place at the Australian Turf Club. The ATC follows guidelines for the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
