When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, rider stated that his mount enjoyed a favourable run during the race where it was able to be saved up a for a final sprint, however the gelding did not let down in the straight and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. CANB 29/03/2024 Taytay Bay Immediately prior to the running of race 1, the gelding escaped from the tie-up stall area down to the on-course stabling area before being re-captured. The gelding was subsequently examined by the Club’s veterinary officer and passed suitable to start. Was a little slow to begin. After the 800m was hampered when attempting to avoid a fallen horse. CANB 20/03/2024 Dunjenni Inquiry adjourned into reasons why rider was dislodged near 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have blood present in its right nostril. Trainer was told that under the provisions of AR79(8) the mare would be required to undergo a satisfactory 1000m gallop in the presence of a Steward before it would be permitted to race again. Added after passing 800m mnt continued to overrace & as result failed to respond to riding, weakened, & he desisted from riding it out over final 300m. A post-race vet exam rev gelding to be lame (2/5) in off-foreleg. Tnr was told a vet clearance is required prior to next race/trial. Near the 1400m shifted outwards despite the efforts of its rdr. Raced greenly in the home straight. Near the 600m shifted in and brushed another rnr on a couple of occasions. Shifted out under pressure passing the 150m. SAPH 05/04/2024 Bounty By Knight Bumped on jumping. HAWK 09/07/2023 Tabei Was slow to begin and ran out and lost additional ground. Passing the 150m laid in and had to be corrected by its rider. NOWR 31/03/2024 Oh What A Knight When questioned regarding the performance, rider stated that his mount raced well throughout the event, and in his opinion would benefit from stepping up in distance.
